Crafty Vibes #01

Admittedly I haven't been as active on the crafty side as much as I should, I have been pottering away doing bits and pieces here and there. Which is what I have to show you, it is all still a bit of a work in progress...

I'm someone who will get mail from my penpals and almost immediately write my letter of reply but then take a painstakingly long time to sit down and make something pretty to go with it. I am the worst procrastinator and will end up doing other things rather than getting my reply finished so I can send it off.

I previously put that down to a lack of time but even when I have time I still sometimes struggle to find the motivation to get cracking. I feel like this happens to the best of us, running low on creative mojo so to speak.

I find it helps to get it back by being inspired by other creatives and seeing what they are making and hoping it sparks something in you. Pinterest is also another great resource for inspiration. I am notorious for pinning stuff and never actually doing any of it, hopefully that might change this year.

This year I am trying to be less of a consumer when it comes to craft stuff and rather than hoarding my stash, actually trying to use it up. It can become quite an obsession with all of the amazing stuff constantly being released. I am not saying I am not going to buy things here and there cause that would be a lie, I am just going to make the effort to use what I have majority of the time.

I will try and actually finish off my mail and post the finished results once I am done, I might set myself a goal to finish & post by the end of this week so hold me accountable.
